Since 1962, Nor-Cal Products has been designing and building standard and customforeline traps for the vacuum industry. These traps range in complexity from the sealed coaxial traps, which prevent oil backstreaming, to the triple-pass water cooled traps, which remove condensable gasses that contaminate mechanical pump oil or other parts of the system. Typically, our customers realize a 200% improvement in preventative maintenance intervals after installing one of these traps.

Nor-Cal was mainly an OEM manufacturer for companies like Varian, UTI, Applied Materials, Edwards High Vacuum and Perkin-Elmer until 1978 when we produced a thirty-page catalog of standard components. Our latest catalog has more than 200 pages of standard products including high vacuum and ultra high vacuum flanges, fittings, valves, foreline traps, feedthroughs, manipulators and heater jackets. OEM and custom products, such as vacuum chambers, still make up a large portion of our annual sales.
Our 85,000 square foot corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility are located in Yreka, California. Approximately 200 employees manufacture nearly all of our products there and manage a worldwide network of sales representatives and stocking distributors. In 1997 Nor-Cal Products established a 4,000 square foot research and development facility in San Diego, California. (see picture at left) The staff is currently developing downstream pressure control devices for semiconductor processes.

Vacuum Inlet Traps: Featuring the MV MULTI-TRAP®, POSI-TRAP®, and VISI-TRAP®, our traps provide flexible, highly efficient protection for your vacuum pumps. All of our traps are available with a wide selection filter elements that can be changed easily without breaking down you entire vacuum system.
Filter Elements: All of our filter elements are available in one of two sizes to fit each of our inlet trap designs.
Oil Mist Eliminators: Vacuum pump exhaust traps that feature one or more high-efficiency, pleated low-resistance microfiberglass filter elements.
Oil Filtration System: Remove acids, alkalis, moisture, particles, and other corrosives and contaminants.
Degas System: Prevent failure from entrapped gas. Your end product will be completely free from all air and trapped gases, resulting in higher product yields and lower production costs.
