Agilent Vacuum Products Division (VPD), formerly Varian Vacuum, is a global supplier with a complete range of vacuum pumps, leak detectors, components and accessories to create, control, maintain and measure vacuum.
products: Ion pumps

Agilent, formerly Varian, has an unequalled wealth of experience in the field of high- and ultra-high vacuum technology. Ion pumps have been invented by us.

We offer a complete family of Diode and Starcell VacIon Plus to match all the different requirements of pumping both getterable and noble gases. Pumps, controllers, options, and accessories are designed to provide solutions to every application.
The new state-of-the-art 4UHV Ion Pump Controller allows for unique multiple independent ion pump operation and, thanks to the patented variable voltage function, allows for accurate and reliable pressure reading. In addition, Combination Pumps with Titanium Sublimation Pump (TSP) option provides extra high getterable gas pumping speed.

products: Sputter ion pumps

Sputter ion pumps are one type of pumps used to create ultra-high vacuums, and are used in many accelerators, electron microscopes and analyzers.
ULVAC's acter pumps were developed to enable single sputter ion pumps to create ultra-high and extremely high vacuums on the order of 10-10 Pa.
They are designed for developing new elements (acter elements) with improved evacuation characteristics at ultra-high and extremely high vacuum, and to optimize magnetic fields.
Ion Pumps, Acter Pumps:
  • PST-400CX2/400AX2
  • PST-200CX2/200AX2
  • PST-100CX/100AX
  • PST-050CU/AU
  • PST-030CU/AU
Vibration-free ACTER series sputter ion pumps for ultra high and extremely high vacuum (UHV and XHV) applications consist of optimized magnetic field and internal pumping arrays (ACTER cells). Pumps offer minimal magnetic flux density leakage and rapid recovery from brief power interruptions.

Ion Pump Control:
  • GST-05L
  • GST-03L
