products: Magnetic Fluid Feedthrough
Under the condition of shaft rotation, a magnetic fluid feedthrough provides a hermetic seal against both vacuum and gas. A magnetic loop consists of the magnet, poles and the shaft. Several stages of liquid O-ring are formed by the gathering of the magnetic fluid between the poles and the shaft in the presence of magnetic field. Each stage can sustain a pressure of 0.2kgf/cm2. There are normally 10 to 20 stages in the sealing part of the feedthrough. Taking advantage of the superparamagnetic and liquid properties of magnetic fluid, there is no mechanical wear, even at very high rotary speed of the shaft. The magnetic fluid feedthrough is an Ultimate Sealing Component with a long life time. |

products: Magnetic fluid seals
Rigaku's magnetic fluid seals are offered in 12 series, with a lineup of 72 models. In terms of subcategories according to magnetic fluid types, water cooling mechanism, shaft processing types, etc., the number of product types amounts to 711. The origin of Rigaku's magnetic fluid seal units goes back to 1952 when Rigaku commercialized a rotating anode X-ray generator for the first time in the world. Although they were originally the built-in units for in-house products, Rigaku Mechatronics was established in 1989 as a manufacturer of magnetic fluid seal units based on the technologies accumulated by that time. Our products have been widely selected as a clean shaft bearing to solve various issues in the needs from customers who put the highest priority on reliability. |
